Speaking from the ground, PR has been an ongoing issue for the movement; Prayer vs Big Money…to be expected.
Communications is where the battle is going on by the minute –
Logistically, connectivity within the camps has been squelched despite sufficient investment by indigenous leaders. Regarding content, the opposition has chosen to strategically slander protectors. They report rioting, weapons, drugs and sex – about peoples who have gathered in prayer. They’ve stooped to reporting that campers have stolen and shot [with arrows] local cattle – the rancher has since found his missing cattle.
The photos, videos and articles, from sources who have travelled largely from outside of North Dakota to Verify the truth, continue to show that mothers, children, and elders have gathered here the same as the rest of us… in peaceful prayer.
Content from the following sources has proven to align with all that I have seen for myself in camp and at demonstrations.
